This software ‘Meter Birth to Retirement’ concept will enable our client to track, manage and monitor the purchase, transaction and movements of every water meter purchased. This will help our clients to minimize the purchasing cost of new water meters while optimizing the usage of each water meter. Generally, the system must be supported by a team of trained personnel located at every store and office location at client’s territory. Those personnel are responsible to enforce the ‘Meter Tracking Standard Operation Procedure’ and updating the system database. They are also responsible in managing the minimum stock meter level at district, thus re-ordering process will have to be made in order to ensure adequate meter supply at any time. Meter Resizing Program (Flow Study Analysis)
The common challenge for our clients in metering for consumer is to ensure that the correct meter size is installed for the particular water consumption. The installation of correct meter size is very important to ensure the accuracy of the meter reading and to avoid Non Revenue Water due to loss in metering. Thus, Damini Corporation Sdn. Bhd. has formed a special team to conduct investigation on suspected consumer meter and identified the correct meter size for that particular customer. The team is well equipped, trained and very experience in the water metering technology. This team is able to cater the service of various meter resizing jobs required by clients especially in flow investigation studies. The scope of work for the resizing team is not only limited to meter resizing but was also involved in any main trunk flow study and leakage detection study in case there is an underground pipe burst incident.
Ultrasonic Flow Meters
The term ultrasonic applied to sound refers to anything above the frequencies of audible sound, and nominally includes anything over 20,000 Hz.
- Solids = 1MHz – 100MHz
- Liquids = 0.25MHz – 5MHz
- Gases = 20kHz – 200kHz
The method of ultrasonic flowmeter used is based on the variation of the absolute velocity of sound traveling in a moving media. The transit time meters take advantage of the fact that sound travels at a different velocity depending on the medium it uses to travel.
